Signposted trails in Somme-Leuze

Yellow walk (8,5 km ) :

🥾 Description

The walk starts in the centre of the village, at the foot of the Church of Saint-Remy. After crossing the road, you'll pass the small shop Somme-Shopping, where you can buy a freshly made sandwich if you wish. A little over one kilometre later, you leave the main road and turn right towards Planceneu. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views over Somme-Leuze. In the Neolithic period, a tribe inhabited the high plains of Fays and Planceneu.

After passing under the motorway, you'll reach the Ferme de Leuze, the only remaining part of the former Templar farm. The path then takes you deeper into the forest, past pine trees, and eventually to the Croix Saint-Roch. From this point, you can continue on towards Somal. The route then leads to Vielle-Leuze, where you'll again pass under the motorway.

From here, there are three possible ways to return. Ask us at the B&B for the most scenic (and slightly longer) route — it's worth it, as it avoids walking too long along the main road.

This walk is included on the Somme-Leuze hiking map, which you can borrow from our B&B.
